Cut Paper Painting for Kids

  • Natural Heritage Art Centre 213 North Cascade Street Osceola, WI, 54020 United States (map)

Cut Paper Painting is a style of collage that uses sheets of painted paper as the medium in creating various types of artwork with fantastic depth and texture. This medium can be applied to all styles, such as still life, abstraction, narrative, portraiture, etc. Cut Paper Painting can be enhanced by combining other techniques and mediums like printmaking, typography, and illustration.

Learn how to create texture and depth in your artwork by adding simple scissor snips. The Cut Paper Painting workshop features step-by-step instruction, color theory discussion, and loads of visual inspiration to foster creativity and playful experimentation.
